The Center for Whole Health Learning in K-12, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation developing whole health learning programs with colleagues and partner organizations who advocate for much greater emphasis on the school’s growing role of strengthening children’s well-being and resilience. Your contributions will help us continue to develop partnerships with national, state, and local schools, policy and program innovators, and to speed the awareness and ultimate implementation of these programs in the Nation’s school districts. Despite the emergence of COVID soon after our formation, we have been able to introduce the concept of whole health learning to leaders in children’s health and in K-12 education and their organizations. Among our achievements: Implemented the first-ever unified whole health studies program with our partner school, Lakeside Middle School in New Jersey Invited by the NIH’s National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, NCCIH, as an external stakeholder for its transformative Whole Person Health Research initiative. Partnered with the Whole Health Institute to create the video library WholeHealth4 You, 60 short pieces in which kids show how they creatively spend their time in whole health activities during the prolonged period of remote learning. Participated in a webinar with the American Public Health Association to introduce whole health and its active expression and compelling outcomes in K-12 schools. We continue to bring together the leaders, practitioners, and organizations who serve the critical spectrums — children’s health and K-12 school academics — in order to fashion integrated academic and experiential learning approaches that are needed to fully prepare the generations for productive, civil, generous, confident, and healthy adult lives. Fall 2022: WholeHealthED is revising its online contribution system.
